Sirte Oil announced on 31 January that the production rate had risen by 2,000 b/d to 115,100 b/d.
Eleven of the 14 oil fields operated by the company contributed to the latest increase. Zeltan field was the largest contributor, producing 49,000 b/d, while El Mahariqa’s increase was the smallest, at 145 b/d.
Sirte Oil is working to increase its production in line with the National Oil Corporation’s plan to raise Libya’s overall output to 1.6 million b/d by the end of this year and then to two million barrels b/d.
