Sirte Oil Company announced today, 13 January, that over the previous 24 hours, the daily production rate had risen to 113,000 b/d. This compares to 103,000 b/d four for total company production some four weeks earlier, itself a figure not achieved since 2007.
Eleven of the oil fields operated by the company contributed to the latest increase. Zeltan field was the largest single contributor, producing 49,845 barrels of oil in the previous 24 hours, while ElMheeriqa field was the smallest, producing 145 barrels.
