
The NOC announced on 8 February the full resumption of power and operations at the Mellitah complex west of Sabratha, following the completion of repairs following a sudden technical malfunction.
The corporation confirmed in a press briefing that supplies had gradually returned, with the gas flow rate reaching more than 540 million cubic feet per day. It noted that work is ongoing to operate all units to return to normal pumping.
The NOC also stated that the acting chairman, Masoud Suleiman, had been following the developments at the complex since the disruption began. He conffirmed that no significant disruption to the network or load shedding had occurred as a result of the sitution.
