Praise for oil companies from NOC at second round of AGMs

|

For the second day running, the acting NOC chairman, Masoud Suleiman, and other NOC board members took part in the annual general assemblies (AGMs) of a second group of affiliated companies. These were Sirte Oil Company, Mabrouk Oil Operations, Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Company and the Ajdabiya Petroleum Institute and were held at the headquarters of Sirte Oil in Brega. The first group of AGMs, those of AGOCO, the National Petroleum Construction Company and Jowfe Oil Technology Company took place in Benghazi on 2 February.

The meetings in Brega on 3 February reviewed the four organisations’ activities in 2024, the projects they plan for 2025 and the budgets for those projects. Notably, the NOC praised the Sirte Oil for increasing oil production to the unprecedented level of 116,000 b/d and Mabrouk for 3,000 days of operations without any accidents.

During the AGMs, Masoud Sulaiman stressed the importance of resuming operations at the Ras Lanuf Industrial Complex. He noted the complex’s potential to provide both polyethylene and ethylene.
