The NOC has reaffirmed that oil operations are proceeding smoothly across all fields and ports, following a brief protest at two key export terminals.
In a statement released on the evening of 28 January, the acknowledged that a demonstration had occurred at the Sidra and Ras Lanuf oil terminal that morning. The statement did not provide details on the protest or any negotiations with the demonstrators.
Reassuring both the Libyan public and its international partners that production and exports were unaffected, the corporation emphasised that all oil terminals are currently operational.
The NOC’s swift response is seen as underscoring its focus of maintaining stable oil flows for the country’s economy.
