The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on 21 April that Harouge Oil Operations has brought Well No. B-102 in its Amal field back online after a maintenance shutdown that lasted 18 months.
The corporation said the maintenance has resulted in production at the field rising by 1,500 b/d. The maintenance had included a comprehensive technical assessment programme, the installation of a submersible electric pump and the execution of technical analyses of the well.
The NOC noted that Harouge is working on the maintenance and rehabilitation of several other wells that have been idle, the aim being to restart them.
