
The Chairman of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Mohamed al-Mashai, held a meeting on 19 may to disscus the summer electricity demand
The decision was taken at a meeting in Tripoli to follow up on the progress on projects and the progress related to power transmission networks ,in addition to, company’s on going preparations for the anticipated summer peak in energy consumption.
The meeting was attended by the company’s departments directors reviewed the technical and logistical resources required to maintain the stability of the electrical grid and prevent potential disruptions, the GECOL also said that Emphasis was placed on achieving full readiness to address any emergencies that may arise during this critical period of heightened demand.
