Chinese Oil company Discusses Libya Market Entry

The GNU’s acting Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdulsadek, has had talks with China’s Geo Jade Petroleum about its hopes of entering the Libyan market.

According to the ministry, the discussions, which took place on the side-lines of the Libya Energy and Economic Summit, focused on investment, infrastructural development and projects to increase production capacity.

The Geo Jade delegation reportedly outlined the company’s operations, its technical expertise in the oil and gas sector and its extensive relationships with major international oil companies. It told the minister that it was eager to move into Libya and to strengthen cooperation with the country’s oil sector.
