Azzawiya Oil Refining Company plans lubricants plant in Benghazi

The chairman of Azzawiya Refining Company, Emad Ben Koura, announced on 23 January that work is well underway on a lubricants factory in Benghazi. It will be able to blend and package 100 million litres of various types of oils a year, mainly for the local market. The announcement was made during a speech by Ben Koura at a celebration held at the Benghazi Asphalt Plant to mark the 50th anniversary of the company’s founding.

He also praised the Benghazi asphalt plant, set up in 1984, noting that its output had significantly helped meet the needs for asphalt in the various reconstruction and infrastructural projects in the region. The plant was, he stressed an integral part of the company and a major pillar in its overall success.
