Benghazi-based Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) announced on 20 January that its engineering teams had completed drilling an exploratory well, No. D2, located within the NC4 concession in the north of the Ghadames Basin.
The company said on Facebook page that drilling had uncovered promising signs of oil and gas. It is estimated that, based on tests, the well is capable of producing some 4,880 b/d of oil plus 5.5 million cubic feet a day of natural gas.
