The General Electricity Company (GECOL) announced on 23 March that it will give a bonus of LD 1,000 to all its employee so that they can meet the expenses associated with Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
In its statement, the company said that the payment would be included in the March salaries along with any other agreed expenses such as housing allowances and these would start to be disbursed as of 24 March.
GECOL gave an Eid al-Fitr bonus of the same value last April.
