Akakus Oil Operations says it has increased oil production in the Sharara field by 1,740 b/d. Most of the increase, it adds, is the result of production from a new well. The well, B-52H, is part of its drilling programme to increase production.
Sharara saw production grow by 6,000 b/d in late February, according to an engineer speaking to Libya Energy. Output rose from 309,500 b/d at the end of January to 316,500 b/d on 1 March. It is a 2.26 percent increase.
