The General National Maritime Transport Company (GNMTC) says that its oil tanker Anwar Al-Nasr has successfully passed the SIRE 2.0 inspection conducted by ALMA Petroli, the Italian company specialising in industrial and other bitumens.
In a statement on 4 March, the shipping company said that the test aimed to evaluate the performance of vessels and their crews and their compliance with international standards, while focusing on improving data collection and analysis processes. This allowed for a more accurate and objective assessment of the performance of the vesssels and their crews.
The statement added that Anwar Al-Nasr is the second vessel in the company’s fleet to successfully meet the test requirements, noting that the test was internationally approved last September.
