The General Electricity Company (GECOL ) said on 10 February that work was underway to prepare the first phase of the plan to connect the Sidi Faraj 400-kV station to the Alhai Arreaasi 30/11-kV station. This involves laying a one-kilometer cable to improve voltage and address network issues in the area.
Assuring customers of the importance of its projects in Benghazi and the neighbouring districts are progressing as planned, GECOL said that it would continue working on them and deal with any outages in the region.
