The NOC chairman, Masoud Suleiman, had talks on 30 January with the US Chargé d’Affaires, Jeremy Brent, on strengthening energy cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement from the NOC, Brent described the corporation as a “key partner,” emphasising that its independence and integrity were crucial in the development of Libya’s oil sector and in increasing production rates.
Brent reportedly praised the NOC’s efforts and those of its affiliated companies in improving the oil sector and raising production rates on a daily basis.
