Benghazi-based Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) announced on 18 January that it had increased crude oil production to 304,000 b/d, the highest level in years.
AGOCO brought the Well No. L096 online last Friday, boosting overall production by 1,600 b/d.
The increase is yet another addition contributing to the national rise in production. The acting chairman of the NOC, Masoud Sulaiman, told the GNU prime minister, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba on 19 January, that crude oil output in the previous 24 hours had reached 1,419,958 barrels plus 52,075 barrels of condensates, bringing the figure to 1,472,033 barrels.
