The General Electricity Company (GECOL ) announced on 14 January that its projects in Benghazi and the neighbouring districts are progressing as planned.
The company said that the roof slab casting for the Saaeqa (Bouatni) substation project, operating at 11/30 kV, had been completed.
According to GECOL the project will ensure voltage stability and alleviate bottlenecks currently affecting the region’s power grid.
GECOL earlier had announced the dispatch of a convoy taking equipment to distribution departments in the eastern region to repair damage caused by recent adverse weather conditions that affected several places in the eastern region.
