Dahra Field output hits 23,000 B/D as 24 wells are brought back into production

An engineer at the Dahra field, operated by Waha Oil Company, told Libya Energy yesterday, 8 January, that since last October 24 wells had been brought back on-line, including wells employing ‘artificial lift’ technology.
The source added that Dahra field production had risen to 23,000 b/d but that production drops at times to as low as 18,000 b/d due to recurring diesel shortages for the power generators linked to the pumps. Even so, the field was producing so much more than the 5,000 b/d in the first part of October.
According to Libya Energy data-tracking, the 23,000 b/d produced by Dahra field accounts for 6.5 percent of Waha Oil’s total production, which reached 355,850 b/d at the end of November.
